On behalf of the Steering Committee for the Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Nepal–Japan Diplomatic Relations, it is my distinct honor to extend warm greetings on this historic occasion.

Over the past seven decades, our two nations have nurtured an enduring friendship built on mutual trust, respect, and collaboration. Japan has been a valued development partner to Nepal, contributing significantly to human resource development, education, technology transfer, infrastructure, industrial advancement, and many other areas of socio-economic progress.

To commemorate this historic milestone and celebrate the longstanding friendship between our two countries, Nepal AOTS Alumni Society and Nepal Chamber of Commerce, through the Steering Committee, are jointly organizing a two-day commemorative event on 30–31 July 2026 at Hotel Himalaya. The program will feature:

  • Exhibition on the Cultural Similarities between Nepal and Japan
  • Demonstration of the Japanese Tea Ceremony (one day)
  • Business and Trade Fair
  • Business Seminar and Panel Discussion (one day; limited seats available through prior registration)

We warmly invite our members, knowledge partners, stakeholders, network partners, and well-wishers to join us in celebrating this remarkable occasion and further strengthening the bonds of friendship between Nepal and Japan.

As we mark 70 years of diplomatic relations, let us reaffirm our shared commitment to deepening bilateral ties, fostering mutual prosperity, and building an even stronger Nepal–Japan partnership for generations to come.

I extend my sincere gratitude to all organizing partners, supporting organizations, committee members, participants, and well-wishers for their continued support and cooperation.
