The year 2026 marks the historic 70th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Nepal and Japan - a milestone representing seven decades of friendship, cooperation, mutual respect, and people-to-people connectivity.

Over the years, Nepal and Japan have cultivated a relationship rooted in shared values, cultural affinity, economic cooperation, human resource development, and long-standing goodwill. Japan has remained one of Nepal’s most trusted development partners, contributing significantly in areas such as infrastructure development, education, disaster management, industrial promotion, tourism, and capacity building.

To commemorate this important and historic diplomatic milestone, Nepal AOTS Alumni Society (Nepal AOTS) together with Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) are proud to organize a special two-day commemorative program on 30 and 31 July 2026 in Kathmandu, bringing together distinguished dignitaries, government officials, Japanese and Nepalese business leaders, development partners, broader Nepal-Japan community and associations, cultural organizations, alumni, language communities, and the general public.

Building on its longstanding commitment to strengthening the friendship between Nepal and Japan, Nepal AOTS Alumni Society has, over the years, organized and supported a number of commemorative programs marking important milestones in Nepal–Japan diplomatic relations. The 70th Anniversary Celebration continues this proud tradition, reaffirming the Society's enduring commitment to promoting people-to-people exchanges, cultural understanding, business collaboration, and human resource development between the two countries.
